our bar

The bar is where we talk to our friends about what they are growing, rearing, fishing and and shooting. We barter with them, drink with them and laugh with them. We use the bar as our staff room for games of pool after our own family meal in the afternoons. At the heart of it, we are very much a village pub open for our locals to come and enjoy a pint and a chat by the fire. So with that in mind we’ve kept the bar free of dining tables. We offer a few bar snacks, but nothing pleases us more than people coming in for a social drink and a game, be it chess, backgammon, pool or darts.
